Position summary: 

As a Videographer at Triangle Thinktank, you will play a crucial role in visually presenting our research, analyses, and policy recommendations to engage and inform a wide range of stakeholders. Your work will help us effectively communicate complex ideas and drive positive change in society. 

Position Title: Videographer

Position Location: Beirut, Lebanon

Reports to: Managing Editor / Triangle Directors

Video Production: 

  • Plan, shoot, and edit videos that effectively convey research findings, interviews, and policy insights. 
  • Ensure high-quality video and audio recording during interviews and events. 

Scripting and Storytelling: 

  • Collaborate with our research and communications teams to develop video concepts and storylines. 
  • Write scripts and create storyboards to effectively communicate research findings. 

Equipment Management: 

  • Maintain and operate video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and sound recording devices. 
  • Ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition. 

Post-Production: 

  • Edit and enhance raw footage to produce engaging and informative videos. 
  • Add graphics, animations, and subtitles as necessary to visually support research content. 

Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with researchers, policy analysts, and communication specialists to create cohesive video content. 
  • Collaborate with the communications team to align video content with our communication strategy. 

Quality Control: 

  • Review and revise video content to maintain high production standards. 
  • Ensure accuracy and clarity in conveying research findings. 

Distribution and Optimization: 

  • Upload videos to relevant platforms, such as our website, social media channels, and video-sharing platforms. 
  • Monitor video performance metrics and make recommendations for improvement. 

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience as a videographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work. 
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.). 
  • Solid knowledge of camera equipment, lighting, and sound recording techniques. 
  • Excellent storytelling and scriptwriting skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. 
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. 
  • A deep interest in research, policy, and social issues. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs.
