Position Summary  

The Research Analyst is tasked with generating qualitative and quantitative research outputs, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring research activities under the guidance of Triangle directors and/or team leaders. Additionally, the Research Analyst will coordinate research activities with various team members, managing people against outputs to ensure the successful completion of projects from inception to field, analysis, report writing, presentation and dissemination.

Position Location: Beirut, Lebanon

Reports to: Triangle Directors and/or Team Leaders

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct qualitative research, including key informant interviews, focus groups, and literature reviews.
  • Perform analysis of manipulated quantitative data and integrate findings with qualitative research outputs.
  • Support Triangle directors and/or team leaders in research analysis, presentations, and report writing.
  • Aid the Triangle business development team with proposal conceptualization and write-ups.
  • Assist Triangle directors, team leaders, and business development teams in conceptualizing methodological frameworks, implementation strategies, and project coordination.
  • Maintain project files, tracking, and related documentation against work plans and project developments.
  • Participate in meetings with partners and monitor project progress through minute sheets, Gantt Chart tracking, and coordination with field officers.
  • Communicate via Skype, email, and phone with field staff, consultants, clients, and partners.

  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • High emotional intelligence, flexibility, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience as a collaborative and constructive team member.
  • Complete Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking), with proven (published) writing skills across different formats, knowledge of Arabic is highly desirable.
  • Master’s degree in economics, public policy, political science, international development, journalism, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience working on research projects for multilateral institutions and development organizations.
  • At least two years of research management experience.
  • Ability to process complex texts.
  • Experience drafting proposals is highly desirable.
  • Proven quantitative analysis skills and ability to conduct data manipulation to produce cross-tabulations, regressions, and bi-variate analysis.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting quantitative data manipulation using various platforms.
  • Track record of published research outputs and client-facing experience.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in Arabic.
