Position Summary: 

Triangle is now looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of projects related to policy journalism and analysis in Lebanon. The Project Manager will work closely with the editorial team to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. In-country experience is essential, and fluency in Arabic is highly desirable. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of project management experience in an advocacy setting, and a sound knowledge of journalism and media environments. 

The Project Manager will report to Triangle’s Directors and work directly with clients and donors.

Position Title: Project Manager

Position Location: Beirut, Lebanon

Reports to: Triangle Directors

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. 
  • Work closely with the editorial team to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria. 
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that project objectives are met. 
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed. 
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the editorial team and other stakeholders. 
  • Ensure that projects are completed within budget and on schedule, and that quality standards are met. 
  • Manage project-related documentation, including project plans, status reports, and project-related communication. 
  • Provide regular reports on project status and ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed of progress and issues. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Sound knowledge of journalism and media environments, specifically in-depth research and analysis.
  • In-country experience in Lebanon, with a deep understanding of the political, social, and economic context.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Fluency in Arabic is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and manage project risks and issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, or a related field.
