BEIRUT (Triangle News)—Triangle has co-authored and edited the fourth State of the Global Islamic Economy Report 2016/2017 for its client DinarStandard in collaboration with Thomson Reuters.

The 220-page report is the world’s most comprehensive overview of the $1.9 trillion Islamic Economy, providing analysis, forecasts, surveys, challenges and opportunities about this rapidly emerging economic sector. The report covers Halal Food, Islamic Finance, Halal Travel, Modest Fashion, Halal Media and Recreation, Halal Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics, Healthcare and Education. The report also includes the Global Islamic Economy Indicator, Global Islamic Economy Drivers, Millennial Consumer Insights, and Industry Insights through an Islamic Economy Leaders Survey.

Triangle contributed the Halal Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics section of the report, which includes analysis, developments and Q&As with leading players in these fast emerging sectors. Paul Cochrane, one of Triangle’s founders and Director of Media, was also a report editor of the overall publication.

“The Islamic Economy is rapidly developing around the world, and it is important to have reports like the State of the Global Islamic Economy 2016/2017 to track developments, analyze the challenges and opportunities, and provide detailed information to interested parties about a sector forecast to reach $3 trillion by 2021,” said Paul Cochrane, Triangle’s Director of Media. “It is essential for companies and researchers to know more about the Islamic Economy, especially as it is catering to a fast growing, young and large Muslim population that is slated to rise from 1.7 billion Muslims today, to 2.2 billion by 2030 (26.4 percent of the global population).”

Triangle was able to utilize its knowledge of West Asia, business, Islam, and the global economy to author a key sector of the report, while also editing the overall report, which included a detailed reading of the content, fact checking, and liaising with analysts and the report’s organisers.

“Thanks Paul for your outstanding contribution to the report and the great insights you’ve produced for the Salaam Gateway,” said Haroon Latif, Director of Strategic Insights/DinarStandard.

Triangle’s Media team also produces case studies and Insights for DinarStandard’s Islamic Economy web portal, SalaamGateway.com, ranging from halal food in Russia, to halal pharmaceuticals in Malaysia, to Islamic tourism in China.
